Perth On The Move

We've been amazed at the growth of Perth since our last visit as a couple ten years ago. It now has a population of 1.8 million and there's a hive of activity with new suburbs, new infrastructure and new industries and more people at each location we visit than we've encountered on previous visits. Gail and Bevan have made us most welcome and have taken us on tours of the suburbs between Canning Vale where they live and Perth city taking in King's Park as well as coastal beaches and the area south towards Rockingham. We've visited Fremantle twice and walked around its historic precincts as well as watched the shipping on the harbour front. Perth is still a beautiful city enhanced by its establishment adjacent to the Swan River. We plan to visit other relatives and friends as well as Kent Street High School where Pam went to school in the next couple of days. On Sunday we will celebrate Gail's 70th birthdaY and Gail and Bevan's Golden Wedding Anniversary with their children and grandchildren.
